Who We Are

Glen Davey
Psychologist | Director
Glen Davey, a Registered Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society, brings over 29 years of experience in the mental health field. He has significant clinical expertise working with adults facing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Major Depressive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and other complex mental health issues. His work includes addressing chronic stress, grief, anger, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
Glen has also specialised in delivering individual and group therapy for PTSD, particularly with veterans and their families in Townsville, where he served as a consultant psychologist for a decade.
His extensive experience extends to working with military personnel, police, ambulance services, and firefighters for over 15 years.
Glen employs a variety of evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). He holds specialized qualifications in Neuromodulation, including QEEG Mapping, and is a candidate for Diplomate in QEEG. His specialised training encompasses Medical Hypnosis, Neurotherapy, Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Theta Burst Magnetic Stimulation, and Level 1 LENS Training.
Glen believes in personalised therapy, emphasising the importance of addressing the root causes of mental health issues rather than merely treating symptoms, aiming to significantly reduce distress and improve individuals' quality of life.
Dr Pippa Waterworth
Clinical Psychologist

Pippa is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with a solid background in research and education, having worked in tertiary and secondary education and psychology focused research before commencing a career in individual client-focused psychology. As a clinical psychologist Pippa served 8 years with the Australian Army during which she was deployed a number of times, including to the Middle East. She has retained her links with the Army as a Reservist and works in the sexual assault acute response team.
Drawing on her experience and education Pippa’s expertise and specialisations includes therapy for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. She uses a number of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT); Eye movement and desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR); Cognitive processing therapy (CPT); Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT); Mindfulness based stress relief; Attachment focused therapy; and Schema therapy.


Carly Walsh
Social Worker
Carly is a qualified Social Worker who has been a part of the team since 2015.
With a Bachelor of Social Work from James Cook University, Carly brings a client-centered and strengths-based approach to supporting individuals with their mental health and well-being.

In addition to her social work qualification, Carly is trained in Neurofeedback, Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System), Heart Rate Variability, and the TOVA (Test of Variables of Attention). Carly works closely with clients to develop personalised Neurofeedback protocols tailored to their unique mental health needs and concerns.
Carly is passionate about empowering clients and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to support their growth and recovery.
Dr Matthew Worthington
Clinical Psychologist

Matt's favourite mantra is, “The strongest swords are made in the hottest furnaces.” He specialises in working with adults with PTSD and Complex PTSD. Matt gained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from James Cook University in 2014 and has a Masters in Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire, UK (2008).
He has also trained with Boston Trauma Centre. Matt is trained in EMDR aswell as being certified practitioner in an advanced version of EMDR – Brainspotting, both for individuals and groups.
Matt is a certified Trauma Releasing Exercises Instructor (TRE), developed by trauma expert David Berceli following his time in war zones. TRE is a body focused technique taught to militaries and emergency services globally.
Matt is a certified Buteyko Method (breathwork) Instructor and a certified Wim Hof Method Advanced Instructor (breathwork and icebaths). He is also a Heart Math Resilience Advantage (breathwork) instructor. He is a Level 3 Gottman Couples Counsellor.

Giorgia Fabbro
Clinical Psychologist

Giorgia is a clinical psychologist with experience working with a diverse range of individuals, including veterans and their families, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those with chronic or life-altering illnesses, as well as sexual health and identity concerns.
Giorgia is skilled in addressing issues such as mood and anxiety disorders, workplace and study stress, relationship challenges, perinatal and postnatal mental health, gender transition, and general life problems.
Utilizing a blend of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and solution-focused interventions, Giorgia tailors her approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
She is dedicated to building strong therapeutic relationships and values getting to know people as individuals.
